Restored Mission Control Comes Alive 50 Years After Apollo 11 Moon Landing

NASA's Apollo-era Mission Control center has been restored to the way it looked 50 years ago when two men landed on the moon. Spaceworks, a division of the Kansas Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, restored the NASA consoles to the way they looked 50 years ago, during the Apollo 11 mission to the moon.

New Crop, Old Problems: Record Rain Hurting State's Efforts to Grow Hemp

Hemp production was banned in the U.S. in 1937. The crop made a comeback during WW II, when farmers in Kansas and other states cultivated the plant, which was used to make rope and other supplies for the war effort. After the war, growing the crop became illegal again. But now, Kansas is back in the hemp-growing business. Unfortunately, this year's crop has been hard hit by heavy rains.
