Listen Live Player on the KPR Website

Use any device with a browser and an internet connection to access the KPR website (the website you're looking at right now!). Click the big red button at the top left of the screen and begin listening.

If you're experiencing trouble playing the KPR stream and/or on-demand audio:

  • try using a different browser, such as Firefox
  • if you cannot get the stream to play and you've tried multiple browsers, the stream could be blocked by an anti-virus software. You can correct this problem by adding kansaspublicradio.org to the list of authorized websites in the anti-virus software's configuration.
  • if none of these options help, then check out our audio help & FAQ page.

Alexa Skills for Amazon Echo Devices

Kansas Public Radio is proud to announce our very own Alexa skills for listening to KPR and KPR2 live streams. Read more about it here and learn how to enable and use it here

Just say, "Alexa, enable the KPR skill." Then say, "Alexa, play KPR."

When you say "Alexa, play KPR" it will ask you if you would like to:

1. Listen to KPR
2. Listen to KPR2
3. Listen to on-demand
4. Listen to the local newscast

If you say "on-demand" it will ask what show you want to listen to.

Currently, the options are:

  • KPR Presents
  • Film Music Fridays
  • When Experts Attack
  • Retro Cocktail Hour
  • Conversations
  • Live studio performances
  • Commentaries
  • Live at Green Lady Lounge

Listen to Kansas Public Radio's daily local newscast on your Alexa smart speaker every morning when you ask it to read the news! Read all about it here to learn how to enable it.
