President Obama's Remarks at KU

President Barack Obama delivered an address at the University of Kansas on Thursday, January 22, 2015. KPR coverage also contains a photo slideshow of the historic day.

KPR coverage of the event was hosted by News Director J. Schafer. Joining him for analysis were Steve Kraske, host of the KCUR program "Up to Date"...and Dr. Michael Smith, professor of political science at Emporia State University. The on-scene reporters are Stephen Koranda and Elle Moxley.

KPR coverage of President Obama's visit to KU

LAWRENCE – Kansas Public Radio will carry President Obama’s speech on Thursday live from the University of Kansas’ Anschutz Sports Pavilion. KPR’s J. Schafer and KCUR-FM’s Steve Kraske will anchor the coverage, which will begin shortly after 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 22.

President Obama is scheduled to begin his remarks about 11:20 a.m. and is expected to speak for about 25 to 35 minutes.
