Supporters of the plan say that its cut in income tax rates will boost the Kansas economy. But the plan is being criticized, because it would eliminate two popular deductions...one for mortgage interest and one for property tax payments. Secretary of Revenue Nick Jordan told reporters today (FRI) that the plan would yield a net benefit for Kansas taxpayers.
