Here are the headlines for our area, as compiled by KPR news staffers. A few safety reminders for all of us during this pandemic and nationwide emergency: wash your hands, stay at home and keep away from those outside your home. If you must leave your home for essential goods and services, keep a distance of at least six feet between yourself and others. And if you are able, please donate blood. We will get through this.

Pandemic Pulls Plug on KU Swim Season, Draining Pool Full of Dreams

The KU women’s swimming and diving team had its best performance ever at the Big 12 championships this year, finishing second - just behind eight-time defending champion Texas. In an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19, the season ended abruptly for the KU women's swim team. Despite their amazing success, Jayhawk swimmers remained largely in the shadow of the men's basketball team. KPR's Greg Echlin reports.
