  • A report this week paints a negative economic picture for the Midwest and Plains states. The monthly economic survey of nine states comes from Creighton (CRAY-ton) University in Omaha. The report moved the economic outlook down from neutral to negative. Despite the numbers, Goss does not predict a second recession.
  • Kansas Senator Pat Roberts is worried about the state of the American farmer and rancher. The Republican chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee says profitability for the farm sector is forecast to decrease for the third straight year.
