Conversations: Maryn McKenna, "Big Chicken"
Most of us don't think about chicken until it shows up in the grocery store or on our plate. On this edition of Conversations, Maryn McKenna joins me to talk about her latest book, Big Chicken: The Incredible Story of How Antibiotics Created Modern Agriculture and Changed the Way the World Eats. McKenna is an award-winning journalist and author of two critically acclaimed books. She is a senior fellow of the Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism at Brandeis University and a journalism instructor at the University of Georgia. She writes for the New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic, Newsweek, National Geographic, and Nature, among others.
