“SCRIM: A New Orleans Story of Resilience and Rescue”

On this edition of Conversations, Kaye Courington talks about the true story of a lost dog that inspired the picture book, “SCRIM: A New Orleans Story of Resilience and Rescue.” Scrim was the subject of a nine-month rescue effort during which he survived a hurricane, being shot, and a freak snow and ice storm. He came to represent the spirit of New Orleans and was featured in Mardi Gras parades.

Dan Skinner is a former Director of Kansas Public Radio and the Audio-Reader Network. He is the host of KPR's Conversations program.
