Conversations: "The Pleiades Project: To The Stars Through Collaboration" at Lawrence Arts Center

On this edition of Conversations, Diana Dunkley and Debra Nelson join us to talk about The Pleiades Project: To the Stars Through Collaboration, an art installation that will be on display at the Lawrence Arts Center August 31st through September 22nd. The Pleiades Project is an international collaboration of seven artists creating multidisciplinary artwork based on the Pleiades Star Cluster.

Conversations: Peter Zazzali, Kansas Repertory Theatre presents "The Legend of Georgia McBride"

In The Legend of Georgia McBride, sometimes learning to be a man requires learning to be a really exquisite woman. Peter Zazzali is directing Kansas Repertory Theatre’s production of The Legend of Georgia McBride. On this edition of Conversations, Zazzali joins us to talk about the production which, will be onstage at the Crafton-Preyer Theatre at KU in July.


Conversations: Missy Koonce, Kansas Repertory Theatre presents "La Cage aux Folles"

On this edition of Conversations, Missy Koonce joins us to talk about the Kansas Repertory Theater production of La Cage aux Folles. Koonce is directing the production, which opens on July 13 at the Crafton-Preyer Theatre in Murphy Hall on the KU campus. She says her version of the musical will be scaled down and a bit more gritty to embrace the honesty of the situation, but don't worry, she's not forsaking the "glam."


Conversations: Lawrence Arts Center Update with Margaret Weisbrod Morris

On this edition of Conversations, we get an update on upcoming events at the Lawrence Arts Center from Margaret Weisbrod Morris, Chief Program Officer. We discuss the Benefit Art Auction, exhibits, and summer activities. More information is available on the Lawrence Art Center's website.


Conversations: Justin Marable, "Time-Shift Paradox"

On this edition of Conversations, artist Justin Marable joins us to talk about his immersive and interactive art instillation at the Lawrence Arts Center. Marable built the experience around a narrative he created about time traveling activists who work to alter the course history for the benefit of our future. The exhibit will be on display through February 24th.
