The man who's been leading the Kansas Geological Survey for the past five years has announced his retirement. Rex Buchanan has served as interim director since 2010 but has held various positions at the KGS since 1978. -
With a decrease in oil drilling in Kansas, the state has felt fewer - and less-intense- earthquakes.
