The state of Kansas is offering a statewide amnesty day for parents faced with arrest for failing to pay child support. Anyone with an active bench warrant for failure to pay child support might be able to have that warrant dismissed on Friday, September 25, during "Child Support Bench Warrant Amnesty Day."

Questions remain about the death of a 4-year-old Kansas boy but a judge's order to release an investigative report into the death has been placed on hold.

A northeast Kansas judge, as well as some state lawmakers, are concerned that the Kansas Department of Children and Families may soon require foster care couples to marry.

A new foster parent and youth ombudsman has been named for the Kansas Department for Children and Families.
