Dee Ann Miller is a Lawrence, Kansas based author of both fiction and non-fiction books dealing with topics such as justice, gender issues, sexual abuse, children’s issues, health and well-being. Her writing is informed by decades of experience working in psycho-social nursing. On this edition of Conversations, she joins me to talk about her latest book, Enlarging Boston’s Spotlight: A Call for Courage, Integrity, and Institutional Transformation. Miller discusses her personal experience with sexual harassment, working with survivors of abuse, and why it's vital to expand the discussion beyond what was covered in the movie, "Spotlight." She points out that abuse takes place in all denominations as with the world at large. More information is available on her website, Confronting Collusion with Abuse in the Faith Family.
