Gordon Lafer is an Associate Professor at the Labor Education and Research Center at the University of Oregon. He has also served as a senior policy advisor for the U.S. Congress. On this edition of Conversations, I talk with him about The One Percent Solution: How Corporations Are Remaking America One State at a Time. Lafer's research shows that while most of America is distracted with the political theater taking place on the national level, corporations are quietly working with state law makers to change the rules of business in each state.
