“Civil War on the Border Festival” - August 18-20 in Lawrence

On this edition of Conversations, Steve Nowak talks with host Dan Skinner about the “Civil War on the Border Festival.” Nowak is the Executive Director of the Watkin’s Museum of History. This year marks the 28th Anniversary of the festival which commemorates Quantrill's 1863 Raid on Lawrence, known as the Lawrence Massacre, and other historic events of the era.

Dan Skinner is a former Director of Kansas Public Radio and the Audio-Reader Network. He is the host of KPR's Conversations program.
