Senior members of the Kansas congressional delegation are joining most other Republicans in Congress who are vehemently opposed to the nuclear deal between Iran, the US and other leading world powers. President Obama has said he will veto any attempt to block the agreement. But Kansas Senator Pat Roberts says he thinks the Senate has enough opposition votes to override a Presidential veto. In the US House, Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins of Kansas agrees with Senator Roberts that the agreement with Iran is not restrictive enough. The agreement calls for Iran to curtail its nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of international sanctions. Lawmakers have 60 days to review and vote on the agreement.
