Much of Kansas is bracing for a stormy night.  Brian Barjenbruch (BAR-jen-brook), with the National Weather Service, says severe thunderstorms developing in central Kansas this (FRI) afternoon will drift north and east later tonight (FRI), affecting Manhattan, Topeka and Lawrence.

Storms in northeast Kansas are most likely to fire up after 7 o'clock tonight (FRI) and should come to an end in eastern Kansas by around sunrise tomorrow (SAT).

Check here for the latest weather in northeast and east-central Kansas.
