Commemorating 200 Years of the Santa Fe Trail - Part 2 (DAR Markers)

Overland Park resident Pat Traffas, with the Kansas Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, stands next to a DAR marker near Lanesfield School in Johnson County.

Special activities will be taking place across Kansas and Missouri - and all the way to New Mexico - in the months to come. September 2021 marks the bicentennial of the Santa Fe Trail, the historic trading route that meandered from Missouri, across Kansas and into the mountains of northern New Mexico.
