Midwest poultry farms

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the bird flu that's devastated Midwestern farms likely spread by several means, including on machinery and workers, by rodents and possibly even by the wind.

The Centers for Disease Control considers transmission to humans a low risk but is urging local officials to be vigilant.

China and South Korea have suspended US poultry imports after bird flu reports.
