There's a "COOL" repeal in the last-minute spending bill approved by Congress today (THUR). The omnibus bill includes a repeal of regulations for COOL, or "Country of Origin Labels" on meat products.

Import officials in both Canada and Mexico say the U.S. labels indicating where meat is produced are having a negative impact on sales.
