A bill under consideration in the Kansas Senate would allow supermarkets and other retailers to sell full-strength beer and liquor. Currently, such items are only available at liquor stores.

Bill would allow convenience stores to sell full-strength beer, while grocery stores could sell full-strength beer and liquor. The changes would take effect in 2018.
