Any county with fewer than 10,000 students would end up with just one countywide district. It's expected that some people would be...shall we say...unhappy with that plan.

The plan would reduce the number of districts, but wouldn't close individual schools.

Collective bargaining could be nixed if the proposed bill is adopted
