The biggest off-season goal for the World Champion KC Royals was keeping Alex Gordon in Kansas City. That goal was met Wednesday when the team signed the multiple Gold Glove-winning outfielder to a new four-year contract.

Nearly a million people gathered downtown, near Union Station, for a celebration of the Kansas City Royals' World Series victory. Hundreds of thousands also lined the parade route leading to the train station.
