Kansas News Service Roundtable

Week of January 6, 2019: Governor-elect Laura Kelly outlines her priorities and challenges ahead as she prepares to become the next governor of Kansas.  Kelly spoke with Jim McLean at this Washburn University event co-hosted by Kansas Public Radio and the Kansas News Service. Their conversation was followed by a roundtable discussion featuring KPR's Stephen Koranda, Washburn University Professor Bob Beatty, and Celia Llopis-Jepsen of the Kansas News Service.

Kaye starts her weekends the same way you do: with Weekend Edition, Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!, This American Life, and The Moth Radio Hour. She started at Kansas Public Radio in 2001; in 2006, she became the producer of our weekly public affairs program, KPR Presents, which changed its name in 2025 to Prairie Journal. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, and attend theater.
