Of all the occupants of the White House, few have fascinated Americans more than the Roosevelts: Teddy, Franklin, and Eleanor. Next time on KPR Presents, Kaye McIntyre talks with filmmaker Ken Burns about his new 7-part documentary, "The Roosevelts," which airs on public television stations across the country beginning Sunday. We'll also hear about Edith (Mrs. Theodore) Roosevelt, Eleanor Roosevelt, and all the First Ladies in between, from presidential historian Richard Norton Smith. Smith, who served as the first permanent director of the Dole Institute of Politics at the University of Kansas, spoke on "First Ladies: Personal Sacrifice, Privileged Post" as part of the 2014 Dole Presidential Lecture Series.
