On the next KPR Presents, we remember Calder Pickett, the long-time host of The American Past, which aired on KANU from 1972 to 2005. Pickett passed away this week, following a long and acclaimed career in journalism. In 1973, he won the prestigious Peabody Award for the locally-produced The American Past, and would end up taping more than 1,500 episodes of the popular program which combined history with highlights from film, television and popular music. This week's program features highlights from some favorite episodes of The American Past.
