Ask Dr. Wes: Advice for Teens and their Parents

Questions about your teenager? Need some tips for getting your kid ready for the new school year?  Looking for advice as your teen heads off to college?  Psychologist Dr. Wes Crenshaw answers YOUR questions on this week's KPR Presents. He writes the popular "Double Take" column, published weekly in the Lawrence Journal-World, and is the author of Dear Dr. Wes: Real Advice for Teens and Dear Dr. Wes: Real Advice for Parents of Teens.  He'll be joined in the KPR studios by his newest student columnist, Lawrence High School senior Kendra Schwartz.

Kaye starts her weekends the same way you do: with Weekend Edition, Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!, This American Life, and The Moth Radio Hour. She started at Kansas Public Radio in 2001; in 2006, she became the producer of our weekly public affairs program, KPR Presents, which changed its name in 2025 to Prairie Journal. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, and attend theater.
