Murphy Hall at the University of Kansas is wrapping up its year-long celebration of its 50th anniversary this month with a "Festival of the Arts." This week on KPR Presents, we look at two musicals that opened on Broadway that same year -- West Side Story and The Music Man. As part of Murphy Hall's 50th anniversary, Harvard music professor Carol Oja looks at these two musicals and what they tell us about 1957.
