In celebration of Black History Month, KPR Presents looks at a man whose role in the civil rights movement is often overlooked: President Dwight Eisenhower. Presidential historian David Nichols looks at Eisenhower's role in desegregating Washington D.C. and the military. His book, "A Matter of Justice: Eisenhower and the Civil Rights Revolution," also details Eisenhower's decision to send federal troops to Little Rock, Arkansas to assist with the desegregation of Central High School in 1957.
