Martin Goldsmith

Martin Goldsmith is the author of "The Inextinguishable Symphony: A True Story of Love and Music in Nazi Germany." The book tells the story of his parents and their time with the Jewish Kulturbund, an all-Jewish performing arts ensemble. Goldsmith is the director of classical music for XM Satellite Radio, and the former host of National Public Radio's "Performance Today."

Engineer(s): Kaye McIntyre

Kaye starts her weekends the same way you do: with Weekend Edition, Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!, This American Life, and The Moth Radio Hour. She started at Kansas Public Radio in 2001; in 2006, she became the producer of our weekly public affairs program, KPR Presents, which changed its name in 2025 to Prairie Journal. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, and attend theater.
