On this edition of Conversations, Lucy Spelman talks with host Dan Skinner about the second edition of the “National Geographic Animal Encyclopedia.” Spelman is a board-certified zoo and wildlife veterinarian. She was the first woman and youngest person to head the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and also worked as a consultant for “Animal Planet.”
