Retired four-star Admiral James Stavridis spent more than 30 years in the U.S. Navy and served as the Supreme Allied Commander at NATO. He has published nine previous books and hundreds of articles as well as being a Bloomberg Opinion weekly columnist, and a monthly columnist for TIME Magazine.
