On this edition of Conversations, I talk with Audrey Coleman about the Robert J. Dole Archive and Special Collections at KU. Coleman is the Senior Archivist and an Assistant Director of the Dole Institute of Politics. We discuss the exhibits about the life and service of Bob Dole that are on display in the main hall, plus the wealth of archival documents and other objects that can be found in the archive. The exhibits tell the story of Bob Dole's life in the context of Kansas and The Greatest Generation. She explains how the Dole Institute of Politics fulfills it's mission to "promote political and civic participation as well as civil discourse in a bi-partisan, balanced manner."
