New and Familiar Faces Join the Kansas Public Radio Staff

colinanddestiny.png

Last month, we introduced you to our new Membership Director, Max Paley, but Max isn't the only new addition to KPR. We'd also like to welcome our operations coordinator, Colin Halliburton, and someone who may be familiar to some, violinist Destiny Ann Mermagen, the station's newest classical music host!

Colin will assist those visiting the station and anyone who may have questions about KPR. When you call the station you may hear Colin's friendly voice on the other end. Feel free to call in about any questions you may have about the station, and Colin will be sure to help.

Destiny will take the place of Marcia Higginson, who retired this past July, as our new evening classical host. Be sure to listen for her from 7-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday in late October. For those unfamiliar with her work, Destiny is a Kansas City violinist who combines the classical tradition with American folk music. She has performed around the world and is the recipient of many prestigious competition awards.

We're so excited to have so many new faces here at the station!
