Winter Storm Continues Assault on Eastern Kansas

WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON THURSDAY

* WHAT: Light to moderate snow at times will continue through the morning hours today (WED). Periods of light snow will be possible through tonight (WED), mainly south of I-70. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches are possible. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE: Portions of east central and northeast Kansas.

* WHEN: Until noon Thursday.

* IMPACTS: Travel will be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning or evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.  The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
