For a $5 raffle ticket, you could soon be the owner of a new red barn. Well, sort of. This year's Douglas County CASA playhouse is in the shape of a traditional Kansas barn, complete with a loft and a silver grain silo. The playhouse is an annual fundraiser for CASA -- Court-Appointed Special Advocates -- the trained volunteers who look after children in foster care. KPR's J. Schafer spoke with Diana Frederick, the director of Douglas County CASA, to learn more about the work her agency performs on behalf of area children and... to learn more about the playhouse itself.
That's Diana Frederick, the director of Douglas County CASA. She was speaking with KPR's J. Schafer about CASA's playhouse barn and Casablanca fundraiser. Learn more at www.dccasa.org.
