The Kansas City Chiefs have now won 10 games in a row - a team record! The Chiefs beat the Oakland Raiders, 23-17, to finish the season with an 11-5 record. But Sunday's victory wasn't enough to overtake Denver in the AFC West, since the Broncos also won their game. Kansas Public Radio’s Greg Echlin explains.
The Chiefs will face the Houston Texans in the Wild Card round of the playoffs Saturday at 3:35 p.m. The 2015 season marked the first time in Kansas City history the Royals and Chiefs made the postseason in a season. Coincidentally, the Royals jump-started their run to a World Series crown in Houston behind a five-run rally in the eighth inning against the Astros in Game 4 of the ALDS.
