Woman Dies in UTV Accident Southeast of Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — A woman has died in a utility-terrain vehicle accident southeast of Lawrence.  The Lawrence Journal World reports that the accident happened Saturday as 35-year-old Lori Vantuyl and her husband were traveling in a four-seat Arctic Cat UTV on the road in front of their residence.  Lt. Steve Lewis of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that the cause of the accident is under investigation but that it is believed her husband lost control of the UTV. It crashed after rolling.  Lori Vantuyl died at the scene while her husband was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
