Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas – the state’s largest health insurance company – has entered into a unique partnership with the Kansas chapter of the American Red Cross. Twenty-nine Blue Cross employees have volunteered for a disaster response team. Red Cross officials say Blue Cross Blue Shield is the only company in the state to volunteer a group of its employees to help with disaster relief. But they say they state workers have formed a similar group.
