Paul Splittorff, the all-time leader in victories for the Kansas City Royals, died this (WED) morning because of complications from melanoma. He was 64. Splittorff, a left-handed pitcher, compiled 166 victories in his career. But, as Kansas Public Radio's Greg Echlin reports, he was also a visible figure in broadcasting.
