KU Cello Professor Hannah Collins releases new album of solo cello music

Resonance Lines, a term borrowed loosely from physics, refers to the energy emitted or absorbed by an atom as it transitions between different energy states.  Listen to the resonating energy in Hannah Collin's new album called Resonance Lines on the Sono Luminus classical label.  KPR's Cordelia Brown and cellist Hannah Collins chat between selections about these exciting and singular pieces came to be.  Featuring the music of Benjamin Britten, Giuseppe Colombi, Caroline Shaw, Kaija Saariaho and Thomas Kotcheff.

Hi there! I'm Cordelia Brown, one of your classical music friends here at KPR. I'm here for the music, and for the love. Yes, love. Just like a good cook shares love along with the tasty food she provides, hopefully, I'm showing and sharing love with the great classical music here each weeknight. Main reason for every piece of music we play? We hope you'll like it. That it'll add to your life, whether it makes you think, brings you a memory, relaxes your, or charges you up.
