KPR Presents: 50 Years of Walnut Valley Festival, Folk Music at KANU

Week of August 28, 2022: This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield.  We trace the roots of the Festival in the latest episode of "Kansas 1972" with Kara Heitz.  And, as KANU marks our 70th anniversary this month, we explore the rich tradition of folk music on Kansas Public Radio with KPR's own Bob McWilliams, long-time host of Trail Mix.

  6am Saturdays

Listen to KPR Presents on KPR2:

Kaye starts her weekends the same way you do: with Weekend Edition Saturday, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, This American Life, and To the Best of Our Knowledge. She started at Kansas Public Radio in 2001; in 2006, she became the producer of our weekly public affairs program, KPR Presents. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, and attend theater.
