Unfortunately due to illness, Sky Smeed is unable to perform at this year's KPR Ice Cream Social. Please join us instead as we groove to the sounds of Retro Cocktail Hour with host Darrell Brogdon throughout the evening!

Beat the summer heat with sweet treats, live music, and more at KPR's Annual Ice Cream Social!

Join us on Thursday from 5-7 p.m., at Maceli's in downtown Lawrence (1031 New Hampshire Street) to enjoy ice cream from Hy-Vee, live music performed by local artist Sky Smeed, balloon art by Balloonman, and other family-friendly activities. KPR members will also have the opportunity to collect this year's KPR mug*, commemorating Kansas Public Radio's 70th Anniversary.

This event is a KPR member-exclusive event, used to show our appreciation to those who contribute to the station. If you are not a member, but would like to become one, you can do so at the link here. Not sure if you're a KPR member? Reach out to Joanna Fewins at (785) 864-5268 to confirm your membership.

KPR says THANK YOU to Hy-Vee, Kring's Interiors, Maceli's, Balloonman, and Blue Collar Press for making this event possible!

*We will be able to offer one mug per household, while supplies last!
