Peace symbols, love beads, tie-dye. What do you remember about the late 1960s and 1970s? The Watkins Museum in downtown Lawrence takes an affectionate look at the era with "Free State, Free Spirits," now in its final week. KPR's Kaye McIntyre toured the exhibit and files this report.

Kaye McIntyre is the host of the weekly public affairs program, KPR Presents. Listen to her show this weekend to learn more about the exhibit, "Free State, Free Spirits," at the Watkins Museum in downtown Lawrence.

Listen to KPR Presents Saturdays at 6 a.m. and Sundays at 6 p.m.
(Also heard on KPR2, Sundays at 1 p.m. and Thursdays at 7 p.m.)

Subscribe to the KPR Presents podcast!

Kaye starts her weekends the same way you do: with Weekend Edition Saturday, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, This American Life, and To the Best of Our Knowledge. She started at Kansas Public Radio in 2001; in 2006, she became the producer of our weekly public affairs program, KPR Presents. In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, and attend theater.
