Seven years after the start of the Great Recession, Americans living in rural areas are struggling more than their urban counterparts.  Harvest Public Media’s Luke Runyon reports.

Harvest Public Media is a reporting collaboration focused on issues of food, fuel and field.  Based at KCUR in Kansas City, HPM covers these agriculture-related topics through an expanding network of reporters and partner stations throughout the Midwest.  KPR is an associate partner in this effort.
