It's that time of year again and Kansas Public Radio is ready to host our 3rd Annual KPR Mug Design Contest! Kansas Public Radio is looking for your unique design to place on the 2021 KPR Membership Coffee Mug.* These new mugs will be given to members of KPR at our socially distanced Fifth Annual Ice Cream Social in the Theatre Lawrence parking lot and during our KPR Mug Drive-Thru events.
Dates to be announced in April.
If you love public radio, then we want you to contribute your design! One design will be featured on the 2021 KPR coffee mugs. The winner will receive a $150 value art supply gift basket from Wonder Fair*, KPR T-Shirt, socks, and hat, a $25 Raven Book Store gift certificate, and two of the mugs with your design printed on them. The runner-up will receive a $75 value art supply gift basket from Wonder Fair* and a KPR T-Shirt.
Your design needs to emphasize either Kansas, Community Connections, Radio, or all three. It must also contain the words Kansas Public Radio, KPR, or our actual logo which is downloadable below. The design needs to be 8.25” x 3.5”, you are allowed a full color scheme (CYMK preferred), and
it must be submitted as a vector PDF.
Please submit your final design by Friday, March 26, 2021, 11:59 p.m. (Central) with your name, phone number, and email address to Bobbi Washechek at bwashechek@ku.edu.
KPR will select their top five design contest entries on Monday, March 29, 2021, and then online judging will be March 30 through April 2, 2021, ending at 11:59 p.m. We will announce the winner and the runner up the week of April 5.
By participating in this contest, both winner and participants grant Kansas Public Radio permission to use their names and designs. The winner of the contest will waive any rights to their design. The design must be your own work and must not contain any copyrighted materials.

*The First Prize Illustrator’s Kit includes a number of Holbein Acryla gouache paints, brushes, a palette, sketchbook, watercolor postcard set, some of Wonder Fair's favorite less-well-known drawing tools and accessories, and a handy transparent blue storage box.
*The Second Prize Drawing Kit includes a set of Copic markers, sketchbook, some additional drawing tools and accessories, and a flat-carry apple red case to keep them all together.
