Now in its third year, we’re thrilled to keep the spotlight shining on the incredible work of local community organizations in 2026!

KPR’s Community Spotlight offers these organizations a powerful platform to share their mission with thousands of listeners each month. Each featured group will enjoy a moment on-air, a highlight in our monthly e-newsletter, and this dedicated feature on the KPR website.

Our March 2026 spotlighted partner is First Judicial District CASA Association.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and support children and families. Some children enter foster care, where frequent moves between homes and schools can make stability difficult. Help change a child's story. Volunteer with us today!

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and support children and families. Some children enter foster care, where frequent moves between homes and schools can make stability difficult. Help change a child's story. Volunteer with us today!

The First Judicial District CASA Association's mission is to protect children today for stronger families tomorrow. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) recruits, trains, and supports volunteers to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect and are involved in the child welfare system. Appointed by a judge, CASA volunteers build a consistent, caring relationship with a child and gather information from family members, caregivers, and professionals to make informed recommendations to the court. CASA’s mission is to ensure that every child has a safe, permanent home and the opportunity to thrive by giving them a dedicated voice in the court process.
