Kansas history is full of interesting figures, not the least of which is George Armstrong Custer. He's famous for the Battle of the Little Big Horn. But there's a lot about him you might not know. A new book reveals much about Custer's adventures (and misadventures) right here in Kansas. Commentator Rex Buchanan has this of the book, Custer's Trials.
Commentator Rex Buchanan is the interim director of the Kansas Geological Survey at the University of Kansas. He's also an avid reader. The book he reviewed today is called Custer's Trials: A Life on the Frontier of a New America, by T.J. Stiles.
