Who Was Boston Corbett? New Book Sheds Light on Man Who Killed Lincoln's Assassin


Kansas history is replete with unusual characters. One of the most historically significant is also one of the most enigmatic: Boston Corbett, the man who shot John Wilkes Booth. Commentator Rex Buchanan just finished reading a new book on the strange life and times of Corbett, the soldier who killed the actor who killed President Lincoln. The book is called: The Madman and the Assassin, by Scott Martelle.

Commentator Rex Buchanan is the interim director of the Kansas Geological Survey at the University of Kansas. He's also a regular contributor to Kansas Public Radio.
