April 12, 2015: We travel back to 1942 to visit with William Allen White, as portrayed by Jack Wright. Wright is bringing his one-man show, The Sage of Emporia, to the University of Kansas Lied Center April 17 and 18. We'll remember another portrayer of William Allen White, Fred Krebs of Merriam, who taught history at Johnson County Community College. We'll also hear from Beverley Olson Bueller of Newton, author of From Emporia: The Story of William Allen White, and A Prairie Peter Pan: The Story of Mary White. Finally, we'll check in with the Watkins Museum of History, where they are celebrating the 75th anniversary of The Dark Command, a highly-fictionalized version of Quantrill's Raid on Lawrence.
