Bowyer was eliminated from the NASCAR Chase but also learned that he will be driving for the Stewart-Haas Racing operation next season behind the wheel of the car being vacated by Tony Stewart. -
Bowyer currently drives the No. 15 Toyota Camry for Michael Waltrip Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series but will be a free agent after Waltrip shuts down after this season. -
Bowyer finished fifth in Bristol, Tennessee over the weekend to qualify for "The Chase"
